SOCIAL CLIMBERS

...ON Social Climbers:

I was once involved in a scenario between two Social Climbers, after the incident i began to ask myself why anyone would want to be an active Social Climber. From my perspective being an active Social Climber is an exhausting job (don't kill me ladies, I'm just playing the devil's advocate here). 

How do you identify a Social Climber

• They are usually trying to score an invite to every major party or social gathering in town. 

• They name drop at every conversation.

• They want to you to know they have the latest Lace, Designer Wears, Shoes, Bags etc. in their wardrobe even if they bought them on credit.

• They want you to know they flew to Lagos, New York, The Bahamas etc for their last Holiday even if they Collected money by fake means from an unsuspecting client or a friend to fund the trip.

• Their home and husbands /Wives are always perfect, even if they will change that spouse in a heartbeat if a better opportunity presents itself. 

• They pretend a lot especially on Social Media, you will always see their Instagram post even if it is in front of another person's house.

• They want to be seen with rich people even if they have nothing to show personally.
• They are always looking for a ready made Man/Woman (Yes I know MEN can be Social Climbers too)

• They often want to know everything about your personal life just to feel superior especially if they think they are better than you  (So beware That Friend/ Coworker that's always throwing you snarky comments or unsolicited advice).

I could go on and on but the truth is that most Social Climbers don't mind Climbing over you to get to the top of the Ladder and They often try to belittle anybody they can't use any more.

 

Does it mean Social Climbing is Bad?, not at all after-all we've all done it one time or the other, but being an ACTIVE Social Climber where all you do is Basically being a B*tch or an A**hole is bad. 

It doesn't only make you the laughingstock amongst people who have Real Class and Pedigree, it also tells everyone who know you that you have Inferiority Complex. 

P.S: not everybody is going to be a b*tch or an A*shole.
