FORUM Of CEOs APPOINTS SGF AS FORUM PATRON

The Forum of CEOs of Federal Parastatals under the Administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, led by its Chairman, Dr Kazeem Kolawole Raji, Director General/CEO of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Senator Dr George Akume, CON, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The visit provided an opportunity for the Forum to formally engage the SGF on its vision, objectives and commitment to strengthening collaboration among Chief Executives of Federal Government agencies and parastatals. During the visit, the Forum appreciated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation for his leadership, experience and institutional stewardship in coordinating the machinery of government and supporting the implementation of the priorities of the Federal Government.
A major highlight of the visit was the formal presentation of His Excellency, Senator Dr George Akume, CON, as Patron of the Forum. The Forum noted that his acceptance of the role would provide valuable guidance, institutional direction and inspiration to members as they pursue the objectives of the platform. Dr Raji highlighted that the Forum was established as a strategic platform for unity, institutional collaboration, professional exchange, peer learning, responsible leadership and improved service delivery. According to him, the Forum seeks to promote the sharing of experiences and best practices, reduce institutional silos and strengthen inter-agency collaboration in pursuit of national development.
The visit further provided an opportunity for the Forum to outline its political engagement objective ahead of the 2027 Presidential Election. The Forum stated its intention to support the re-election of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, through lawful, ethical, peaceful and issue-based engagement with citizens, including communicating the policies, programmes and achievements of the administration and providing channels for citizens’ concerns and feedback.
The Forum acknowledged that achieving its objectives would require coordination, discipline, responsible communication and strategic guidance. It therefore sought the support, counsel and institutional guidance of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in his capacity as Patron.
The Forum also expressed its commitment to leveraging the diverse institutional reach and professional networks of its member agencies to promote greater public engagement, strengthen inter-agency collaboration and contribute to the effective implementation of government programmes and policies across the country.
The engagement concluded with an expression of appreciation to the SGF for granting the Forum an audience and accepting the role of Patron. The Forum expressed confidence that his guidance and experience would further strengthen the platform as it continues to promote collective leadership, institutional cooperation and national development.
